As reported by the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU), the above info graph reveals a summary of reported cases from suspects and victims of incest.
Out of the 27 cases reported in the year 2015, 48.15% were sent to court with 14.82% culprits convicted.
A shocking realisation from the info graph is the percentage of total reported cases for relationships. Out of the 27 cases reported, 20 are from the nuclear family, while 5 were recorded for extended family. It is disturbing to note that the nuclear family recorded the highest number of cases as compared to the extended. On the other hand, this is highly possible because of the proximity between suspects and their victims in the nuclear family.
